How to can Jalapeño Peppers (easy rescipe)
Ingredients:
*2 cups white vinegar
* 1 cup water
*1 tbsp salt
*1/2 tbsp granulated sugar
Instructions:
In a small pot over high heat, bring 2 cups of vinegar, 1 cup of water, salt and sugar to boil. As soon as it begins to boil cut the heat and pour the mixture into the jars filled with peppers. Cover jars with lids and rings, do not over tighten. Place jars into boiling water for 10 minutes for a water bath. Allow to rest on counter for 24 hrs then store in pantry.
To steralize jars either boil in hot water for 10 minutes or bake in oven on 250° for 10 minutes minus the lids. Lids can be dipped briefly into boiling or hot tap water to loosen the seal.
Hibiscus Lemonade Recipe
Ingredients:
*6 cups water, divided
* 1/2 cup honey, or granulated sugar
*1/2 cup dried hibiscus flowers
* 1/2 cup lemon juice
Instructions:
In a small pot over high heat, bring 2 cups of water , honey and hibiscus flowers to a boil. Take the pot off the heat and let cool for at lease 10 minutes, or preferably unitl it's room temperature. Strain the syrup through a fine mesh sieve. Pour the syrup, the remaining 4 cups of water, and the lemon juice into a pitcher and stir well. Add a few ice cubes to cool it down right away or put it inot your fridge until cold.
